Volunteer

Volunteers are integral to the success of Camp Courageous.  Hundreds of people throughout our community give their time to Camp Courageous- donating more than 5,000 hours of service each year.  According to the Independent Sector, the estimated value of a volunteer hour in Ohio is $18.87.  This calculates to more than $94,000 worth of volunteer time donated every year!!

Volunteers may assist the campers during summer camp and fall respite programs. Activities include arts, sports, hiking & swimming. There are special projects for school, scouting, civic, youth & corporate organizations. Other opportunities include kitchen work, camp clean up, working on projects, and hands-on help during activities.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:
Participates in all camp, recreation and leisure events to promote adult interaction and enhance the learning environment within the recreation setting. This is to include swimming, hiking, participating in arts and crafts projects, basketball and any other sporting activities.
